Matt Morgan General Manager of the Website Metropolitan Museum of Art

Matt Morgan is general manager of The Metropolitan Museum of Art's website, and a founding member of the steering committee of Steve: The Museum Social Tagging Project, a collaboration of museums, and museum professionals investigating the potential of social tagging to enhance access to museum collections, and engage visitors. Matt brings a wide range of technology experience to the project; previously he ran IT operations at Brooklyn Museum, where he helped bring open standards, open source models, and community participation to the museum community. Before that, he founded Environmental Defense Fund's website and online operations, where he participated in development of projects that exploded into today's wide-scale online activism.
